Tradtionally, the whole garbage about Friday the 13th is that its supposed to be a very unlucky day. Most of us know its just a regular day, where nothing really happens out of the ordinary. I thought the same, until today...

I had a pretty good day today, I went into work at 9am and got off early at 2:30. Ive been hanging on to Audreys birthday invitations for a couple days now, procrastinating on buying stamps and mailing them to those I cant personally deliver them to. So on my trip home from work I decided last minute to stop by the post office to buy stamps and mail the invitations. It was pouring rain outside and I thought twice about just driving straight home and putting off buying them again. I decided to just get it over with and get them. I parked the car, threw on my hood and walked toward the post office entrance. As I approached the steps I saw a white rain-soaked envelope laying there on the floor. I picked it up and looked around to see if anyone passed by who might have dropped it. Nobody was around.

I turned the envelope over and it said Wells Fargo on it. I immediatly knew what it was and what may be inside. I ran inside the post office, bought my stamps, mailed the invitations and got back to the car as quickly as I could. I had stuck the wells fargo envelope in my purse. I didnt want to open it although I was very curious to see what (if anything) was inside. I decided to make one last stop at the Hallmark store to buy a b-day card for Mema. At that time I hadnt decided yet what I was going to do about this mystery envelope. By the time I got to the Hallmark store...my curiousity was getting the best of me and I decided to tear open the envelope. I sat in the parking lot, ripped open the envelope and counted, 2-$5, 2-$20and 8-$100 dollar bills. I realized I had found $850 CASH! I was shocked...to be honest I totally intended on keeping this cash. I rushed home to tell Chrystian and my mom what I had found. They were just as shocked as I was. My mom told me I should call my dad and ask his advice on what I sould do considering it was such a large amount of money. Reluctantly, I called my dad. I knew what he was gonna say...I knew he was gonna tell me to do the right thing, darn it, lol. He basically told me that since it was friday...someone probably cashed their paycheck intending to pay their rent, or pay bills. He said by (trying) to return it to the rightful owner, our Heavenly Father would reward me. I felt so guilty!

So I called the wells fargo that was near the post office and sure enough there was a lady frantically looking for this lost envelope. She was almost certain someone made off with this lost envelope filled with cash. My mom drove me to the bank and the teller pointed out a lady sitting with her back towards us. I walked up to her and handed her the cash. I looked at her face and she had been crying...her eyes were all puffy, her face was all flushed and she had tears in her eyes. She jumped to her feet and hugged me and my mom. She kept saying thank you over and over again. She told us she had been at the post office and rushed back to the bank because she lost her keys. Apparently on her way out of the post office, she dropped that envelope. She told us she cashed her check and needed to use that money to pay her babysitter and her house payment. She tried to hand me money to say thank you...but I couldnt take it. I already felt guilty enough for thinking about keeping it! lol This poor lady was having an awful day and imagine, if I had been selfish enough to keep it? She wouldnt have been able to make her house payment. Anyway, its funny how things work out. What would have happend if I didnt make that last-minute stop at the post office at that exact point in time? Would someone dishonest have picked up that money and kept it? I was close to keeping it...so imagine someone else?

Pretty crazy huh? My dad was exactly right...she needed it more than I did.

First off let me go on record saying...I dont like Brad Pitt...I think he's a dirty dog for what he did to Jennifer Aniston (leaving Jen for Angelina Jolie...blehh!)

Anyway, Chrystian and I went to go see a movie today. I had two free movie tix and we wanted to go see Bride Wars with Kate Hudson and the chick from princess diaries (her name escapes me at the moment). So apparently you cant see "special engagements" with the silver AMC movie tickets so we had to choose a different one that started at the same time. So we decided to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with Brad Im an a-hole Pitt and the beautiful Cate Blanchett (love her!). Ordinarily, I avoid movies with Brad Pitt in them (see first paragraph) but I figured I love Cate Blanchett so it should even things out. Honestly....I loved this movie. Everything about it. Without ruining it for those of you who havent seen it yet...it tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences. The main tagline of the story is "Life isn't measured in minutes, but in moments". It tells a great lesson about life. The way the movie was set up reminded me a lot of the movie "The Notebook". Anyway, I really liked it...even Chrystian got teary-eyed with me on some parts. :)

Well, havent I been a bad little blogger lately, haha.

I have to say, theres not really much thats new. Audrey is 10 months old now, she talks like crazy. She only knows a few words though, like Daddy, Doggie and Ouch! lol. Once in awhile she yells out Mom! But not as often as the others. Chrystian is good too, he just got over having some sort of food poisoning issue...it was awful! As for me, just working..nothing really exciting. Same ol' same ol'! lol

We looked all over for a park that had kiddie swings today (the kind that Audrey could swing on by herself) We finally found them at a little park in Covina and Audrey LOVED it....she's so brave. She went down slides and swung on the swings.
